古街房屋的门槛又高又厚，并设有台阶方便进出。主人家的身份地位越高，门槛越高。
The threshold of houses on Old Street is high and thick, and there are steps to facilitate access. The higher the status of the host family, the higher the threshold.
在古代，房屋开偏门是供身份普通和低下的人进出，而身份高贵的人和主人家均从正门出入。
In ancient times, the side doors are for people with ordinary and lower status to access while the main entrance is for people with noble status and the owner to enter.
这是古街当时的繁华地段，各类商铺林立，可以想像当年作为茶马古道驿站的古街是何等的热闹。
This was the prosperous area of Old Street, there were many stores and shops where it can be imagined how bustle was this Tea Horse Road once.
古街有不少“一楼一底”的房屋结构，多用木质板材，结构牢固，防震抗震效果好。经过百年来历史上的大小地震之后，这些房屋依然牢固屹立不倒。
There are a lot of houses with a structure of "one floor and one base" on Old Street. These houses are strong and mostly used wooden materials that have high resistance to tremors and shakes. After earthquakes at different levels throughout hundreds of years, these buildings still stand firmly.
由于古街的地平落差，街道中不乏这样的石梯。
Due to the various levels of the floor, it is common to see this kind of stone stairs.
往来于茶马古道上从商的人们都祈愿人财平安无恙，驿站上的寺庙便是他们经过时必去的地方。至今古街上还遗留着当年寺庙的残垣断壁，一些较为完好的菩萨塑像看上去也是后人新塑造的。
Merchants who passed the Tea Horse Road hoped to have the safety of themselves and their wealth, so the temple at the station was a place they will definitely visit. Even today, Old Street remained the debris and broken walls of this temple although some of the better statues of Bodhisattva seem to be newly created by later generations.

Traditional Qipao, gowns and other clothing are printed and dyed with pure plant and are cut and sewn by hand. They have become an indispensable part of the culture of Wangyu Ancient Town.
像其它古村落一样，这里的年轻人大多外出打工去了，只留下一些老人和孩子，生活悠闲，与世无争，显得宁静而安详。
Like other ancient villages, young people here mostly went out for works, leaving only some elderly and children, life is leisure, free of competition, and seems quiet and peaceful.
